Privacy in plain English

What we collect, why, who sees it and your rights. Short version: we only use your details to reply to you.

Who we are

This website is run by Blank Canvas Media, a sole trader business, Nursery Gardens, Waltham Cross, EN7 6RX. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this site.

Questions about this policy or your information: blankcanvasmediaagency@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry form on our Get started page: your name, business name, sector, email address, mobile number if you give it, and what you tell us about your marketing, budget and goals.

We do not use this site to collect payment details, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as health details.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, talk to you about working together and, if you become a client, to deliver our services.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you ask us for a proposal, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to. We never sell your information.

Who else sees it

Our website and enquiry form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which stores form submissions on our behalf and emails them to us. Netlify is based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

We may also keep your enquiry in our email and business systems. We only share your information with others if we have to by law, or with your permission.

How long we keep it

If we do not go on to work together, we delete your enquiry within 24 months. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we work together and then as long as we need to for legal and accounting reasons.

Cookies

This site does not currently set cookies or use tracking. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so visiting it does not send your details to font providers. If that changes, for example if we add website analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to us using it. Email us and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. This version was last updated on 1 November 2026.
